How FutInjuryNews works
FutInjuryNews lists every injured and suspended player in the Premier League and LaLiga: who is out, why, and when they could return. It is an independent project made for fantasy football managers.
What the icons mean
A long or significant injury. The cross is fully painted.
A short injury or a knock, often a doubt for the next match. The cross is half painted.
A ban for a red card or for too many yellows. Shown as matches remaining, not a date, because bans are counted in matches. The red card is only ever used for bans.
No current absence. Recently returned players stay listed for context but are not counted as out.
Only a medical reason makes a player injured, and only a disciplinary one makes him suspended. Being dropped, rested, or linked with a transfer is not an absence.
Where the information comes from
Official club and league announcements, disciplinary decisions, and reports from established football journalists.
We aim for the highest data quality possible. Reports are checked before they appear on the site, and a player is only listed as out when the information holds up.
Return dates and updates
Return dates are estimates, as given by the club or by reporters, and they often change. A date that is no longer reliable is removed rather than left on the page.
“Updated” at the top of each page shows when the information was last refreshed. If that was more than a day ago, a yellow notice appears.
What this is not
This is not official medical information. It collects what clubs, leagues and reporters have made public, and it can be wrong or late. Check the club’s own announcement before any decision that matters.
FutInjuryNews is not affiliated with the Premier League, LaLiga or any club. Club crests are trademarks of their respective owners, used for identification only.
